Mission Statement

About Jason Simmons

For Jason Simmons, horses have never been just a job—they have been a way of life.

Jason’s journey in the horse industry began at the age of nine when he started competing in the cutting horse industry. Through years of dedication, hard work, and countless hours in the saddle, he qualified for and competed in numerous major events. His competitive career culminated in earning the title of 2021 Colorado High School Cutting Champion. 2021 Top 20 National High School Finals and later competing on a collegiate roping team and competes in the Reined Cow Horse.

Throughout his life, Jason has gained experience training, competing, and caring for a variety of horses, including cutting horses, reined cow horses, ranch horses, and other performance horses. These experiences taught him that success starts with a sound horse and that proper hoof care plays a critical role in every horse’s comfort, movement, and long-term performance.

To further his knowledge and skills, Jason attended ELPO Farrier School, where he studied equine anatomy, biomechanics, hoof balance, and movement. He has continued his education by working alongside respected farriers and horsemen, constantly seeking opportunities to learn and improve.

What sets Jason apart is his unique perspective as a competitor, trainer, and farrier. He understands not only how a horse’s feet function, but also how hoof balance influences movement, performance, confidence, and overall soundness. His experience allows him to evaluate the horse as a complete athlete rather than focusing solely on the hoof.

Jason believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to hoof care. Every horse has different needs based on its conformation, age, workload, environment, discipline, and long-term goals. His approach is centered on understanding each horse as an individual and developing a hoof care program that supports both immediate needs and long-term success.

Today, Jason serves clients throughout Colorado, Kansas, and Texas, providing professional farrier services for horses of all breeds, ages, and disciplines—from pleasure horses and ranch horses to competitive performance horses.

Whether working with a young horse beginning its journey, a seasoned performance horse, or a trusted family companion, Jason is committed to providing dependable service, quality workmanship, and individualized care.

His goal is simple: to help every horse stay balanced, comfortable, sound, and able to perform at its highest potential.

Soundness Begins From the Ground Up.
