Ryan was named the starter as a true freshman in 1990, leading the Mustangs to a number one ranking in the State, and leading Colorado in all passing categories. Ryan remained the Mustangs starter for every subsequent game until his final game as a senior in 1993, setting numerous Colorado passing records. He was named all-conference and all-state four consecutive years (1990-1993) and all-Colorado his Junior and Senior seasons (1992-1993). Ryan was a consensus All-American in 1993, tapped by Parade, Blue-Chip, Gatorade, Super-Prep, and Tom Lemming, to name a few, as one of the top-school boy Quarterbacks in the country. Clements’ career in high school culminated in being awarded the Denver Post Gold Helmet for Colorado’s Outstanding Football-Player Scholar.
Ryan was offered a scholarship by every Division I school in the United States. He took official trips to Notre Dame, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, and Pitt, in addition to unofficial trips to Colorado and Wyoming. During the recruiting process Ryan, Peyton manning, Heinz Ward, and Josh Booty shared their trip experiences and compared notes on what coaches were saying and promising.
The University of Miami
Clement was a four-year letterman at “The U”. In 1994 he punted his way onto the field as a true freshman and took over the quarterback duties 3 games into his sophomore year, never again relinquishing one of the most coveted positions in all of college football, until his final game as a senior in 1997.
Ryan was named team captain in 1996 and 1997; earning all big east honors in 1996 in addition to leading the nation in passer rating at 140.6. Ryan led the Hurricanes to a victory in the 1996 Car Quest Bowl against a Virginia defense ranked in the top 5 in total defense. Clement was awarded the Walt Kichefski Scholarship endowment at UM which recognizes the best in athletic and academic achievement among Hurricane football.
Ryan was also named the Hurricane offensive back of the year in 1996 edging out Edgerrin James. In 1997 he was on the Davey O’Brien watch list and was awarded the Christopher Plummer award for team inspiration. Ryan was named to the 1997 AFCA Good Works All-American Team. Ryan is ranked 5th all time in Passing Yardage and TD’s at “The U”.

Professional Experience
Ryan Graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005. In 2006 he returned to Colorado and pursued a career in Government affairs, working with The Kenney Group in Denver and subsequently with Phase Line Strategies in Highlands Ranch to the present day.
