Meet Jason Simmons

In his career within the equine and agriculture industry, Jason has quickly established himself as a dedicated and skilled professional. Graduating from Lamar Community College with a degree in Agriculture Business and Agriculture Production Management, Jason has built a strong foundation in the industry and continues to expand his education. His academic achievements include courses such as Artificial Insemination, Live Animal and Carcass Evaluation, Agricultural Mechanics, Feeds and Feeding, and Welding. In particular, he is certified in Artificial Insemination through Schleining Genetics. This certification demonstrates animal breeding and reproductive health, and demonstrates his ability to manage breeding programs with efficiency and precision.

Jason’s involvement with horses and cattle began at an early age. By nine years old, he was competing in the National Cutting Horse Association. His competitive spirit carried over into his college years as a team roper for Lamar Community College’s Rodeo Team.
